About Mountain Mac Mackay Laughlin Neil MacKay born 3-8-1936, Superior, Wisconsin, home of Richard T. Bong, WWII Ace of Aces.. Grew up in Superior. Grad high school 1954. Joined US military Aug 1954 served 8 years. Attended University of Wisconsin, University of Nevada at Las Vegas (UNLV), Sowest Seminary Became Christian in 1966, and spent last 36 years in ministry. Published 1st book, "Miracles in My Life," in 1983. Wrote 1st Cowboy poem in 1992 for a friend. In 2000 began work with writer Trudy W. Schuett on a film script, "Ace of Aces," a biopic of Richard T. Bong, the largely forgotten airman who downed more enemy aircraft than any other in the Pacific theatre during WWII. Performed as Mountain Mac, Cowboy Poet, in Cowboy Dinner Theater at Mormon Lake Lodge, AZ Lock lives in Yuma, AZ with wife Trudy MacKay, and is semi-retired.
